Modification

Modifications to data related to a domain name can only be made by the primary user related to the domain name or, in case of changes to DNS, by the user who has Technical permission:

  1. Administrative, Technical and Billing Contacts
  2. DNS
  3. DS records
  4. Transfer lock out

In the home page under the "Customer Login" section, enter as Primary User or in the case of DNS modification requests, as user with Technical permission; once inside the Control Panel, go to the "Domain" Menu and in the My Domains section point the mouse to the "Change” option. Choose only one of the options you want to change; afterwards, do the following:

  • Select your domains.
  • In this section you select one or more domain names you wish to modify and click on “Continue” .

  • List to Modify.
  • We will display a list with the domain names you want to change, if it is correct, press the “Continue" button.

  • Enable Management Operations.
  • If in the Security Level of your user account you have set "Enable Authorization Code" it will be necessary for to make any changes that Akky send you an authorization code to the email account you have associated with your User, so you should click on the "Send to my email" button; once you get the code you should copy/paste it in the text box named "Code."

If you have domains with the additional Advanced Security service, you will need to authenticate your identity: on the screen we will display the documents you need to send us for the modifications requested to be enabled for those specific domain names.

Once authenticated, we will email the authorization to you so you can make all the changes you want.

  • Modification.
  • The information for you to modify will be displayed on your screen for you to enter the new data, based on your choice.

  • Verify the data.
  • You should verify that the modifications are correct as presented in this section; if you want to receive an email with the modifications, check the respective box and click on the “Modify” button.

  • Updating confirmation.

  • In this section you can verify the list of domain names that were successfully modified.

Once all corresponding modifications are done you can go back to the Control Panel or the list of Domains under your management and you can make any modifications you need while the Control Panel session is enabled; once this has finished, enable the Modification requests again.

Note: For the Domains having the additional Advanced Security services, you will need to perform the Authentication process for listed options modifications.

  • Registrant Modification.

  • For open classification domain names (with .COM.MX, .ORG.MX, .MX, , LAT, .COM, .NET, .CC and .TV extension) the Registrant information only can be updated by the same Registrant through the Authentication Process described in the Registrant section of our help.

For close classification domain names (with .EDU.MX, .GOB.MX and .NET.MX extension) the Registrant information only can be updated by the same Registrant through the Closed Domain Names Modification process described in our Domains FAQs.
